Who are we? We are a family sized Holy Spirit-filled congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Albany New York. We are apostolic in faith, biblical in foundation, missionary in purpose: sharing God’s power & love. Definitions: Apostolic means we believe and follow the teaching of Jesus and his apostles as our standard; we uphold the faith received from the early Church, and we operate in the Holy Spirit of the Triune God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit, three in One Biblical in foundation means that our faith is deeply rooted in the foundations of the Holy Bible as the authentic, immutable word of God, which is as powerful today as ‘in the beginning’; Missionary in purpose means that we are a faith community that welcomes the stranger, encourages the seeker after truth, and joyfully extends the kingdom of God to others. Our particular focus is healing ministry & leadership training. Our Worship style is richly flexible within the Anglican rite. We alternate Traditional Prayer Book Sundays of Holy Eucharist with Contemporary Sundays of a more informal structure concluding with a celebration of Holy Eucharist gathered around the altar in the sanctuary. During the week we have two services of Eucharist, one traditional, one very informal. Our Healing Services involve teaching and operating freely in the Holy Spirit. |
